Discover How This Busy Mom Built Her Business on Facebook

Since Julie Burke sponsored and recruited 80% of her team of 8,300 distributors using Facebook, people ask her all the time…

“How do you effectively reach out to people online?”

So to help you start off right and give you the confidence to connect with people on Facebook, regardless of whether you talk to them regularly or not, here are a few keys to get started…

Now read Julie’s 8 tips for successful Facebook recruiting…

I’ve done offline recruiting, online recruiting—I’ve done it all!

And you know what?

It’s all the same.

Now, I’m going to say this over and over, and it might sound cliché, but you have to lead with passion and your heart.

That’s how you connect, inspire, and lead.

And one more thing on the subject of leadership:

Not everyone is going to be your prospect, and that’s okay.

When you go into a conversation, you have to have good posture, good language, and good tonality.

Really focus on the language part, especially on Facebook where someone can’t see you – unless you’re doing Facebook Lives, of course.

It’s perfectly okay to use a script when you’re new.

Hey, we all love scripts.

However, you want to make sure your script sounds like YOU, and uses your voice.

We don’t all talk alike or use the same words.

Be REAL, or your Facebook friends will be like…

“What’s going on with Julie? She sounds automated.”

You definitely don’t want that!

Two quick tips on tonality…

  1. When you introduce yourself, you want to have an “upswing” in your voice. Try to sound peppy.
  2. When it is time for your close, you want to get a bit lower in your tone. Sound more direct and firm.

Starting and managing a conversation on Facebook is the same as it is offline.

Here’s the “Golden Rule”:

Start with a compliment.

Even if you are reconnecting with someone, give them a compliment too.

This really opens up the conversation.

I say this all the time…

You’ve got to manage your expectations because building relationships online takes time.

Let’s say you haven’t spoken to somebody in a while.

You have to first reconnect with them to build the relationship.

And this doesn’t happen overnight.

So don’t rush the process!

At first, your business might not come up in the conversation and that’s okay.

Again, you don’t need to rush it…

“Hey Sue, how are things? How’s the family? Looks like Johnny’s doing great at baseball.”

You’ve now started something with that person and now they are going to start checking you out and seeing what you are doing.

Then you can continue reaching out to them..

“What have you been up to lately? How’s business? How’s work?”

Get to know a lot about them and build the relationship.

You really want to get them talking about themselves so you can learn as much as you can from them.

If they start ask you…

“What have you been up to? What do you have going on? I see you are with this company…?”

…then you can decide if you want to further the conversation down that road, or you may not want to go there yet.

If you do this the right way, it might not take weeks or months before you start talking about your business, your product, services or an opportunity.

But you have to invest time and interest in them first.

You must learn to manage the conversation.

Make your first initial connection quick.

You’re not trying to convince them, sell your product, or get them to join!

Hold that posture, even if you are broke.

No one is going to join someone who comes across as desperate.

They’re just not.

If you are contacting a cold prospect over Facebook, you always want to be busy.

Even if someone expresses interest in your opportunity or wants what you have to offer, keep the conversation as fast as possible.

Here’s an example.

“Hey, can you tell me more about your products?”

“Great. I’m happy to fill you in. When do you have five minutes to chat? What’s your phone number?”

Now, one of two things will happen…

Outcome #1: They message you back

Schedule a time to chat with them and keep it to five minutes.

In this conversation, you can ask them what interests them and what they like, so you can get an idea of exactly what you will send them.

The purpose of this call is so that they can hear the excitement and passion in your voice.

There it is again, passion!

End the conversation, after five minutes, with something like…

“Listen, I have to run but I just wanted to see what you are looking for in terms of your travel, skin care, [insert your business product or service here]. Now I know what [product, tool, service] to send you.”

Set up a follow-up call before you end the conversation.

Keeping the conversation short, and always appearing to be in a rush, really takes the stress off the person you are speaking to.

People think that you are going to jump on the phone and take up all their time trying to sell them a product.

So I always say something like…

“I really only have five minutes, but I want to know what you’re curious about, and what your goals are, so I know what to send you.”

Setting up the follow-up helps you to control the conversation from day one.

Be in control.

This goes back to the posture.

Don’t leave the conversation open-ended with your business flailing about.

“Hey, take a look at this and call me if you are interested.”

“I’m going to send you something. Let’s chat next [day] at [time].”

Outcome #2: They want the details now

The second outcome may be that they don’t message you their phone number, but instead respond with something like…

“Just tell me what it is.”

Now, to be honest, I really don’t spend time with these folks.

I’m not looking for people who just fly by the seat of their pants.

I want people who are really interested in what I have.

So don’t be too eager.

And don’t treat your cold prospects like cold prospects.

Instead, you want to treat them like people with a heart, who you have a solution for—and that’s what you’re here to offer them.

Whether they want it or not is up to them.

Imagine those salespeople at the mall.

You know who I’m talking about.

They’re standing outside stores.

They’re yelling and smacking their face creams together and saying things like…

“C’mon, c’mon, c’mon. Sit at my chair. Get over here.”

What do you think when you walk by them and what do you do?

You have to think about that example in regards to your own business.

Is that who you want to be?

No, you don’t—right?

When you are reaching out to people, whether online or off, it’s the same approach.

You’re talking to someone with a heartbeat.

You’re talking to someone who either needs or wants what you have, or doesn’t.

So your job, of course, is to discover the people that want what you have.

What if you haven’t talked to someone in a while and maybe you are nervous about what to say?

You can simply reach out and say…

“Listen, Sue. I know we haven’t spoken in a while, but I have found something I am so passionate about. I don’t know if it is right for you, but if you have five minutes I would be so grateful if I could just fill you in on what it is. If it isn’t for you, it might be for somebody you know. Would you give me five minutes?”

It’s that simple.

Recognize that you haven’t talked to them in a while and you’re not just reaching out to sell her your products.

You have to rebuild that conversation first.

I hope these tips help.

And I really want you to understand that the approach is the same on Facebook as it is offline.

It’s all about building relationships!

…which may take longer with some of your friends than others, and may go quicker for some people in network marketing than others.

You have to cultivate your style and attitude and make it your own.

Affirmations of Action

Are you feeling stuck in your business? Mel Robbins says that taking action is what you need to do.

Guess what, there are Proverbs that agree with her.

First of all, consider a Proverb that divides us into two groups. We can be lazy or diligent.

Lazy vs. Diligent (1).png

Proverbs 10:4 Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.

Another way of saying lazy hands is slack hands. I have to confess that sometimes I feel paralyzed by uncertainty and I don’t do anything for fear of doing the wrong thing. According to this Proverb that is the opposite of diligence.

The answer is to take action. Do whatever you can do. That can include prayer, asking your mentor for advice, looking for answers in the Bible, looking for answers on the internet. Do the next thing; even if it turns out to be wrong. It may just lead your to the next thing; which may be right. Keep moving. You will get where you are going.

Don’t be like the lazy who don’t finish the job.

Lazy don't finish job.png

Proverbs 12:27 The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.
Can you imagine shooting wild game and then leaving it to rot? Whether you like the idea of hunting or not, you will agree that not preparing and eating what you have killed would be irresponsible.
I am not a hunter but I can think of ways to apply this truth in other aspects of life.
What do you think about someone who buys a tree for their yard and then doesn’t dig a hole and plant it? What a waste! How lazy!
What about buying an expensive piece of meat and leaving it in the refrigerator and not cooking it? It will spoil and not be edible! What a waste! How lazy!
What if you sign up with a network marketing company and have spent money on product and sales materials; but then you are afraid to make calls because you are afraid of what people will think of you? What a waste! How lazy!
And there is a proverb that fits that lack of action; basically, the lazy avoid it all.
Lazy (1).png
Proverbs 26:13-15
A sluggard says, “There’s a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!”
As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed. A sluggard buries his hand in
the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth.
This Proverb portrays almost comical action.
Can you imagine someone not leaving their house because there might be a lion roaming the streets?
Can you imagine someone not calling their best friend, favorite aunt or sibling and sharing the products and company you believe to be the best thing to happen to you because you are afraid they will say no?
It might be like a door turning on it hinges. It might be like a lazy person rolling over in her bed.
And incredibly it might be like a person who had put his hand in the dish and then was too lazy to take it up to his mouth to eat.
One could starve to death with those kinds of practices, couldn’t they? What do you think? Can you relate? I can.
And so we apply prayer and affirmation.

Father God, I see that when I respond in fear or inaction You see it as laziness.
I ask that You will remind me when I am responding with slack hands that I am created in Your image for greatness.
Remind me that Your purpose for me will require me to step into scary situations as if there were a lion roaming in the street.
Thank you for the extreme examples you have given and nudge me when I am in even the little circumstances that cause me to hesitate instead of act.
Grant me the will and ability to act for your glory and honor. In Jesus name, Amen.

I am not afraid of _________________________________________________ (making phone calls, doing Facebook Live, etc.).

I know I am working toward perfection.

I am fearless when I make presentations.

I am a leader who inspires my team.

I am confident that the right people are being drawn to me through my actions.

Remember, that affirmations are to be worded in present tense, as if what we are working toward is already reality. The prayer is directed toward God. The affirmation is directed toward our brain and aligns our thinking with what is God’s will. That makes it important to base our prayers and affirmations on the Word of God.

Your feedback is important to me. Your positive comments are an encouragement; but your critique is vital to helping me improve. Thank you for both.

God bless you,

I Was Stuck With No Options; There Was No Place to Go But Up

I had finally mastered network marketing with my warm market and tweaking that to share with my cold market.

Then everything changed.

I was stuck with no options!

Except the one that would change my business and me.

But it took me a little while to figure it out.

I had finally figured out network marketing and learned to love it.

Five years before, my daughter had invited me to watch a video. I had been approached by network marketers before. If I didn’t know what she was up to, I figured it out soon after.

I watched the video and was introduced to a real “category changing” product with impressive science to back it up. The science was peer reviewed. As a grant writer, I knew that if you had unbiased research, you had a winner.

So I said to my daughter, “That sounds interesting. How much does it cost?”

She told me; then I asked, “How much if you are a distributor?”

She said that customers paid the same price as distributors. It was a bit pricey for my non-profit director paycheck; but I was already sold.

She sent me a link to more science info and asked if I would get on a call with her mentor.

I agreed.

I don’t really remember the call.

I don’t remember the next few days or my decision making process; but shortly after the call I signed up as a distributor.

I said two things to myself.

First, since product came with my enrollment, I said, “No matter what happens, you have a year’s supply.” That demonstrates that I really believed in the product and wanted to keep taking it.

Second, I said to myself, “You’re all in now.” That demonstrates that I really intended to be a network marketer.

I didn’t exactly love network marketing, so it should have been a surprise that I joined.

Why did I join?

First, someone I loved and cared about invited me.

Second, there was a quality product that I believed in.

Third, the timing was right for me. My daughter didn’t know it but I was getting ready to leave my job to care for my mom. I needed another source of income.

That clearly shows three key aspects of being successful in network marketing.Three keys for success

Relationship is key. Even when we are building our business on line, having a relationship is important.

Quality product and compensation plan are perhaps the least important of the three, but they are still important. Perhaps, their importance is creating your passion that will have an impact in your conversations with people you are sharing with.

Timing – as in the timing for your contact – is most important. Everything else may be in place but if your friend is not ready to make a big change, it is not the time.

And don’t kid yourself or your friend, they will need to make some kind of change.

There will need to be commitment and sacrifice, if success is desired. There will need to be a commitment and sacrifice, if success is desired.

Five years into my network marketing journey, I was sold on network marketing profession, the company I was with and the products.

I was actually feeling comfortable reaching out to my “cold market” and I was prepared to call my “warm market” one more  time.

But then my life got complicated. Mom needed hip surgery; and my role as caregiver grew.

Don’t get me wrong. I am not complaining. I am glad I can care for Mom.

As a matter of fact, if things hadn’t changed, I wouldn’t have started looking for something else.

I would be building my business with “old school” network marketing. My business would be growing; but I might never have found “new school” recruiting.

I might have missed out on what I consider to be the most important leg of a healthy network marketing business.

Today, a network marketing business needs three legs to be successful

Today, a network marketing business, to be stable and strong, needs three legs.

Leg number one is your warm market. Your family and friends will frustrate you if you expect them to join you in your business. Of course, some of them will; and you’ll have a blast building your businesses together. But most of them won’t. That’s okay; you’ll get to practice your skills on the rest of them.

Leg number two is your cold market. The servers where you eat out; the receptionist in the dentist office; your massage therapist. Let your sponsor/upline give you their tips. Or message me for my tips.

Leg number three is the world wide web! Your database will grow exponentially with this one. But you will need new skills. Get this freebie to check it out.

Truly, you need a different skill set for each leg of your network marketing business.

Some of the hardest people to introduce to network marketing are sales people, especially successful sales people. Because even though network marketing is sales, you need to come to the arena with a tabula rasa. You need to be coachable. Selling to people you know can get trickier that a Hollywood psychological thriller. And twice as scary.

If you started with your warm market, you need to tweak what you learned, to move into your cold market. The hard part of both of these markets is that no matter how good you are, more will say no than will say yes. To get a large organization you have to do a whole lot of inviting before you get the number of yeses you need.

The benefit of prospecting on the internetThe benefit of prospecting on the internet is that you can target those who are more likely to say yes. And there are more on that list than your whole warm market list.

When you engage with your internet market, you improve your numbers dramatically. Of course, you will need new skills to learn how to target and how to engage.  But, this is what I experienced; even before I had learned how to target and engage on the internet, I was already reaping an unexpected benefit.

Once I had made the internet my primary leg for prospecting, I didn’t quit sharing with warm and cold market opportunities.

What I experienced was a new freedom with those legs. The knowledge that if someone said no, I still had thousands on the internet, freed me from being desperate to get someone to say yes. Instead, I was only sharing if I sensed they would be interested. I was giving them information that had the potential to better their lives.

That made all the difference for me.

When I started building on the internet I was able to bring much of the relationship building skills I had learned building with Legs One and Two.

My advice for the rookie network marketer is to learn with the people you know. Let them know that you believe in the products and company that you represent and they want them to have a chance join you.

Be sure that you realize that you don't need them.png

Be sure that you realize that you don’t need them. Remember that the majority of people don’t want to build a business. You are wired differently – just better – for you.

Use your sponsor’s help. They are committed to your success. Learn from them. If you don’t feel that your sponsor will help go to company events and find someone in your up line who will help.

Watch how different people in your company talk to people. One of them will have an approach that makes sense to you. Copy them. You’ll be more effective if you are using an approach that fits your personality.

You'll be more effective if

Begin to master warm and cold markets and begin to learn about the internet market.

Internet network marketing is work. Anyone who promises that it isn’t, doesn’t know what they are talking about. Or they are lying to you. Either way you don’t want their help.

You might want to check out the program I ended up with. The neat thing about this one is that it has turned out a lot of 6 & 7 figures earners and they all end up doing things their individual way – the way that fits their abilities and personalities best.

When I found it I wondered if I should switch focus and quit my network marketing business. In the end, I decided for two streams of income instead of one. I like both companies; I am working both.

Now it’s time for me to offer you more information.

A common question is what network marketing company are you with? Or what is the program that I learned how to prospect the internet with and how is it a second source of income?

I would love to answer your questions.

Are you open to getting on a fifteen minute video chat with me? We can answer your questions and decide whether you want more information. Set it up with me by clicking on this link.

You may just want more info about internet prospecting. Focus on Your Future

No one has a perfect life. Let go of what's gone, be grateful for what remains and look forward to what is coming.

You have had disappointments and failure. Maybe even betrayal and tragedy in your life.

Sometimes there has been enough stuff to make moving forward feel pointless.

I know what that feels like. I have been there.

Just don’t stay there. That would be an even bigger tragedy and betrayal.

You would be betraying yourself.

Don’t do it.

And don’t let anyone tell you it is nothing. Acknowledge the disappointments, failures, betrayals.

They happen but they don’t have to identify us. Own up to them so that they won’t own you.

For me, hope is the best way to to move forward. And we do want to move forward, to put it all as far behind as we can.

What is my source of hope. It is a Bible verse.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

God spoke this to His people who were in exile in Babylon.

I think they felt as if life was over. They must have felt hopeless and wondered why even try to move forward.

But the God who knew the future, told them to them to settle down and build lives for themselves. They were to marry and have children. They were to seek the peace of the city where they were now living.

They, like you and me, can only see the past and present. Only God can see the future; but as you trust Him you can know that He has plans for you that are good and full of hope.

Believe, work towards your purpose that He has given you. Enjoy family and seek the betterment of the community you live in.

Focus on the One Who has the future – knows the future.

Your Prayer:

Father God, You know the future as You know the past. I am trusting You with plans for my life. I am glad to have plans and a purpose for my life. Your way is good. You desire for Your people to proper and be happy where You have placed them. I yield to Your plan, Your future for me. In Jesus Name, Amen

Your Affirmation:

God has a plan for me. God wants me to build my life and seek the good of those around me. I have a hope and a future. I am excited to see what that is and will do what I am called to do today and tomorrow.

Remember that your prayer is directed to God to build your faith; your affirmation is directed to your brain to bring your thoughts and actions into agreement with God.

Feel free to comment below or message me with your thoughts or questions.

God bless you,

What Attracted You to MLM?

What is your story?

Did you look in the classified ads or Craig’s list for a business opportunity?

I didn’t either.

My daughter asked me to watch a video.2017-02-25 22.23.53

I said, that’s interesting. [I really did find the product interesting.]

How much does it cost, I asked.

She told me a number that was still a little high for my budget, so I asked what does it cost for distributors. [I knew the drill.]

She told me that customers paid the same as distributors if they signed up for an auto ship.

I was not looking for anything. But I watched a video. I checked out the links she sent me. I agreed to a three way call. I checked out her website.

And before you knew it I was a distributor.

I am not sure why.

Network marketing left a bad taste in my mouth.

Even after I signed up I wasn’t proud of what I had become.

But I was impressed with the product and I loved my sponsor. I connected with her up line and got to know more about the company and the industry.

Fast forward to today – I love network marketing.

I believe that it is the best business model for many.

I have come to realize it is a people business. It is a people helping business.

I love that.

And I love that I have discovered new skills that expand my reach.

It is still all about people; but now I get to reach out to people I have never met.

So, what is your story?

Did it take an MLM company or product to sell you on network marketing?

Are you still waiting for that to happen?

My point is that MLM or network marketing is about people with a story.

We all have our own story.

Learn how to tell your story and you will have found the way to build your business.

I had to find a company and product and the right skills. The first two came first and then the third.

That took longer. But it doesn’t have to.

Comment below or message me at this link and I share how I am using my story to reach people who are interested in joining me in a people helping business.

God bless you,

The odds are stacked way AGAINST you…

One of the benefits of working from home, is that you’re in 100% control Copy of Guest BloggerFerny Ceballos.pngof your environment.

This is a BIGGIE.

Because your environment has a heckuva lot to do with your state of mind and your attitude, which ultimately results in what you DO. Or don’t do.

Make no mistake, I don’t care how ‘positive’ you are, if you’re placed in a negative environment, after some time it WILL crush your ambition, and will keep you stuck and paralyzed from taking the actions you need to take.

I think good ol’ Zig Ziglar was right, we ARE born to win.

But the challenge is that sadly, most of us are programmed to fail.

Let’s face it… between school, tv, some of the people in our lives, Facebook newsfeed and a big part of our society in general… all THAT doesn’t really create the environment conducive to your success.

We just don’t have too many cheerleaders in our lives telling us…

Go for it.

Start your own business.

Make lots of dough.

Become somebody and live a life of freedom.

It’s usually the opposite.

Are you crazy, you’re doing what?

And don’t get me started on TV and Hollywood.

Most of that stuff is garbage. And although I love going to the movies, truth is, most of them are ANTI capitalist.

Seriously, when was the last time you saw a movie about a good rich guy or gal?

Nah, it’s usually about the greedy, power hungry, unethical go-getter who wants something for nothing and exploits the honest, hard-working person with less means. Right?

And if they’re not greedy or unethical, then often they’re just rich and miserable.

Does that kinda sum up most (not all but most) of the blockbuster movies over the last 30+ years?

Sooooo…. do you think it might have a little effect on your mindset about success, achievement and financial abundance?

It’s massively destructive I tell ‘ya.

Like it or not, the odds are stacked way against us, and we ARE programmed to fail.

And unless you take full control over what goes into your mind, you’ve got a snowball’s chance in hell of getting everything you want and living the life of your dreams.

A big part of that is getting around the right kind of people. Because you do become like the people you hang around with.

Which is why you need to join us in Las Vegas at
No Excuses Summit 8.

Yes, you’re going to learn a TON about marketing your business online.

Super effective ways of driving traffic.

Cutting edge techniques for generating quality leads.

Powerful recruiting and sales strategies.

But most important of all, you’ll be locked in a room full of WINNERS for 3 straight days.

And their energy, enthusiasm and attitude absolutely will rub off on you.

Note from Connie Suarez:

I haven’t been to No Excuses yet. Back in August of last year when I signed up with Elite Marketing Pro, I started hearing about No Excuses Summit and couldn’t wait to go.

I heard Kate McShea say she skipped her first year. It wasn’t until Kate went the next year that she saw massive success in her business.

Chef Katrina shared that she was able to network with the people who would impact her business.

Since I have been part of Elite Marketing Pro, I have been going to the NES Facebook page looking for info about this year’s Summit.

It was like I was standing at a store front saying, Open! Open! Open!

I signed up for No Excuses Summit 7 the first day it was available. I signed up for the Workshop and the Platinum Upgrade. That is how much importance I place on this event for the success of my business.

You need to be there. Here is the sign up link.

I’ll see you there.

Let’s do coffee, okay?

God bless you,

Three Steps to Recruit with Facebook

You can do this . . .carihigham

You share a blog post or broadcast a Live video and throw a few bucks Facebook’s way to deliver it to a larger audience…

People see the post and request more information from you…

You begin a chat over Facebook Messenger…

You bring over 95% of ’em to a video chat…

Then you work your magic, and…

Upwards of 70% of your prospects buy a product from you!

Sound too good to be true? Well, pick your jaw up off the floor…

Because those are the results Cari Higham is achieving in her business right now.

And not only is her network marketing business exploding, but she’s also monetizing the people who don’t join her network marketing team.

Yup, you heard me!

In fact, she’s doing so well that she’s going full-time in her business, with her husband, who’s “retiring” (with no grey hair!) from his corporate job.

So without further ado, let’s dive into…

Cari’s simple, 3-step formula for sponsoring success

Cari stumbled upon this strategy by accident when promoting an Elite Marketing Pro blog post on Facebook. After a few days of generating leads and sales, someone commented on the post, asking…

“This is really awesome. Can you send me more info?”

Not wanting to “copy and paste” a message, Cari sent a private message that said…

“I saw you commented on my post, would you like to hop on a video chat with me?”

He enthusiastically agreed, and after a few questions to uncover his pains and frustrations, Cari determined he wasn’t interested in leaving his network marketing company, but could use help generating more prospects and leads for his business.

So, she gave him a tour of the Elite Marketing Pro Back Office, showing all the training, resources, and tools for online lead generation, and he purchased right away.

Easy enough, right?

So that’s how this all began.

And since that first conversation, Cari’s refined her process to get more people to request “more info” and to create extremely high conversions through focusing on her prospect’s true pains, and wants, and desires (and not her own).

Here’s how her 3-step process works…

First, you boost a Facebook post or broadcast a Live video that creates intrigue and extends an invitation to connect.

For instance, the call to action on your sponsored post might read…

Comment “more info” below if you want to see our prospecting and recruiting strategy that enables you to monetize people even when they say “no” to your opportunity.

Here’s an example from a Live broadcast…

We love the industry but we quickly ran out of people to talk to. So if you’re in the situation we were a year ago, comment “more info” below and we’ll show you our passive prospecting and recruiting strategy that allows us to prospect online without coming off as a pushy salesman or an annoying network marketer who’s alienated all their friends and family.

Once someone comments, “more info,” Cari sends a friend request and replies…

“Hey, I just sent you a friend request. Let’s connect.”

Once they accept, she continues the conversation on Facebook Messenger.

Now, keep in mind this is the same type of conversation you’d have in an offline setting.

You’re getting to know them.

Your job is to uncover…

  • What are they looking for?
  • What are they struggling with?
  • What are their goals and desires for their business?

So let’s recap…

Cari boosts a Facebook post or Live video, and then the prospects who are interested ASK HER for more information.

Thus, she’s being pursued by a highly-interested and receptive ideal prospect!

Once you start private messaging people, your goal is to transition quickly to a video chat.

Cari quickly asks them if they want to connect face-to-face, like this…

Hey, this is Cari. I saw that you commented “more info” on the video we shot yesterday or the day before. Are you open to video chatting with me and I’ll show you our exact strategy and how we’ve been able to passively recruit people into our business.”

In Cari’s experience, about 95% will be happy to hop on a video chat with you.

The key to a video chat is that people actually SEE you, and you can see them.

You’re able to see their emotions and feel what they’re really about.

And they’ll know that you’re not someone that’s there just to take their money.

They can see that you care about their success, which helps them to know, like, and trust you.

To recap…

You begin building a personal, face-to-face relationship with your prospects over video chat—just like you would do in an offline recruiting setting.

You’ll answer their questions and follow their lead to help them get their desired result, like this…

Your prospect’s answers to your questions will direct the conversation.

You’re looking to uncover where they’re facing challenges reaching their goals before you offer solutions.

Now, this is important…

If a prospect is happy with their products or opportunity, Cari never tries to prospect them into her company.

In Cari’s words…

People need to bloom where they’re planted.

And if they’re happy with their company, then that’s where they need to stay.

If, however, Cari gets the feel they aren’t happy—maybe they don’t have upline support, or their company changed the compensation plan, or they’re not passionate about the product—then that’s when, and only when, she asks if they are open to other opportunities.

For example…

My husband and I, we’re network marketers just like you. If you’re open to taking a look at our opportunity, I can show you some information right now about that.

Again, If they are happy where they are, which 95% or more will be, then Cari shares her passive recruiting strategy (which you’re learning today).

This instantly positions her as an authority and builds rapport.

Keep in mind that…

Usually your prospects’ biggest pain is that they’ve run out of people to talk to.

Or they might feel like they’re a pushy salesman on Facebook.

Many networkers find themselves posting links about their company, getting blocked by friends and having their messages ignored, and they’re understandably frustrated.

And so Cari gives them a solution to that pain.

She asks…

If I have a solution to that, are you open to taking a look?

The answer is, almost always, “Yes. Of course. That’s why I’m on the call with you.”

Then Cari gives them a tour of her Facebook page, shows her strategy of using sponsored posts, takes them to her website and discusses personal branding and list building, and finally introduces Elite Marketing Pro and the products, tools, and services we offer for struggling network marketers.

Sidenote: Cari typically offers prospects (who are happy with their network marketing company) my Free Online Recruiting Bootcamp, where I reveal my exact blueprint for generating 300-500 leads per day, 30-50 customers per day, and recruits 70-100 new serious business builders into my business each month!

And once Cari shares the value of Elite Marketing Pro and what it can do for their recruiting…

70% of her conversations end in a sale!30899_Banners_091316-02-1

And thus, she gets paid even when prospects say “no” to her network marketing opportunity. That’s how powerful this strategy is for demonstrating the value of what you have to offer.

Not too shabby, right?

To recap…

The most important point from this section is that you always lead with questions and identify your prospect’s challenges before offering a uniquely-tailored solution, whether it’s your primary opportunity or a product from Elite Marketing Pro.

The most effective marketing strategy…

Whether you consider your industry online marketing, network marketing, or the home-based business industry in general—your biggest “win” is to…Build a following of people that like and trust you.

And using Cari’s process, you’re going to do that in a big way.

And you’re going to create instant momentum by being willing to hop on video chat and talk to people one-on-one.

Remember, these are REAL people with needs and wants, which you can help them with.

So commit to being there for them and helping them along the same path you’re on and good things will happen.

If that sounds like work, it is.

But this is a real business, and real businesses require work.

Now, what I’ve just shared is incredibly simple, because it’s mostly non-technical and can be set up and ready to go in under an hour.

It’s just you, a sponsored post, and hopping on a video chat.

Yet despite the simplicity, when this strategy is executed effectively, like Cari is doing, it pays off handsomely.

Now let’s take a step back for a moment…

Online and offline recruiting have a lot in common…

Using Facebook to recruit online is essentially the exact same process as you already do offline—whether you’re prospecting in public places (the cold market) or talking to your family and friends (your warm market). After all, clearly you have a warm market and a cold market on Facebook too.

But online recruiting offers you one fantastic possibility that offline recruiting does not…

The ability to passively recruit.

Passive recruiting is the process of posting the type of status updates on social media that entice your target market to reach out and preemptively ask you for more information about your business.

How to make making passive recruiting work for you…

The key to having people reach out to you is that you shouldn’t post anything about your company! And don’t post your product’s name or logo, either.

You want to keep that information “blind.”

Here’s why…

If you tell people the product name, your prospects will go off on their own and won’t need you as their consultant anymore, so avoid the temptation to spill that info.

So instead…

Focus on the results you’re producing in your life or other people’s lives.

Make your posts inspirational, not a sales pitch.

This will naturally attract prospects to you, and position you as an in-demand authority.

Cast Your Bread Upon the Waters

How does “Cast your bread upon the waters,” apply to your business?

map-221210.jpgIs there a prayer and affirmation that can aid you in building your success?

The Value of Diligence *] Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days. Ecclesiastes 11:1 NKJV

Often this verse is thought to teach the concept of receiving blessings after giving them.

Or so a story I heard when I was growing up seemed to imply.

My grandfather was a struggling rancher/farmer during the depression. But he didn’t let his lack of material wealth keep him from helping others. The community came to know him as Grandpa Joe, a giving and caring man.

He gained that named and a love from the community by his willingness to help folks in need.

In 1921 the nearby Arkansas River flooded its banks and Grandpa Joe was busy helping folks and their livestock get to high ground. It was a disastrous flood.

Grandpa Joe shared one awful story of a baby swept out of its horrified mother’s arms by the raging water.

Then the day came when Grandpa Joe fell off the roof of the church, while he was helping with a repair.

Suddenly, he was unable to do routine chores. My grandmother was great in the kitchen but not so much with the outdoor farm chores. I wonder if she felt a little panicky. I wonder if Grandpa Joe was frustrated as he couldn’t care for his family.

Then there came a knock on the door. The first of many community members was there offering their help, saying, “Grandpa Joe was there for our family when the flood wiped us out, we can’t ignore his need now.”

My grandmother, the Methodist minister’s daughter, was quick to quote Ecclesiastes 11:1.

She knew that my grandfather had cast his bread upon many waters; and now it was coming back to him.

As you can imagine, that story has had an effect on me. It no doubt motivates me to give without looking for a reward. I believe that the reward or care that may come from our doing good is in God’s hands.

You and I know that the real reward for doing good is the good feeling we get for doing it.

But today I want to suggest another meaning for this verse.

Here is how the NIV translates the verse:

Invest in Many Ventures* Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return. Ecclesiastes 11:1

I am intrigued by the suggestion of international commerce. Much of the economy of the Biblical peoples is agricultural. Abraham and his descendants raised sheep and goats.

There were other means of earning a living – Jesus was a carpenter. But most would have been services for local consumption.

But, if the NIV translation is accurate, it is commending expanding your boundaries.

That is what Jabez specifically asked God for. He prayed:

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:10 NIV

So this is my take away from Ecclesiastes 11:1.

You and I have had at least one “hater” as we have shared and built our business.

We are gaining the tough skin that you have to have to be in business for yourself. But today as I studied this verse I got a little boost – no I got a big boost – from knowing that God approves of our business ventures.

God put your picture on His refrigerator the last time you rank advanced.

I believe that He wants more of us to be asking Him to expand our territory – our leads – our volume – our team – our customers.

I think we are the exception when we do that.

Jabez was. If everyone was asking God to expand their territory it wouldn’t have been noteworthy and we wouldn’t be reading about it in 1 Chronicles 4:10.

Want to be God’s favorite? Here is your prayer and affirmation:

Father God, Oh that You would bless me greatly, enlarge my team, grow my volume, let your hand be with me so that all my team will experience your blessing. Show us how to do good with the abundance You provide us and keep us from causing pain to anyone. I ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.

Affirmation [Your affirmation should be stated in present tense stating what you want to accomplish at a future date. You are expressing your trust in the Creator of the Universe to answer your prayer as you take the actions you are responsible for doing.]

I am relishing the knowledge that ___________ [fill in number you know God wants to give you] folks are enjoying the expanded territory that God has provided. They are busy blessing others with their abundance. I have just sent _____________ [fill in size of check] to my favorite charity ______________[fill in name of charity.] I have taken my business as far as ______________[fill in name of country or state.]

I am open to your comments and differences with what I have written. Feel free to call or message me. I personally respond to all messages.
