Today You Are You!

Don’t you love Dr. Seuss?

Dr. Seuss has been a vital part of most everyone’s life. You grew up hearing him read to you. Or you’ve read Dr. Seuss to someone.

I believe that the rhymes that he used are soothing. But even more than that Dr. Seuss usually had a positive message.

You hear too many negative messages – from parents, siblings, classmates, co-workers, friends, enemies and you!

How refreshing to pick up a book and read positiveness wrapped in pleasant rhyme.

Wouldn’t you agree that there is nothing more pleasant than positive talk about ourselves?

No wonder Dr. Seuss continues to be popular.

We can learn a thing or two from Dr. Seuss. We can learn to employ positive talk in our lives – with our family, friends, co-workers and ourselves.

Which is why today I have started reading What to Say When You Are Talking to Yourself by Shad Helmstetter, Ph.D. His poetic meter isn’t running and he may not rhyme, but he promises to teach Powerful New Techniques to Program Your Potential for Success.

Now that’s positive.

P.S. Here is a little trivia about Dr. Seuss:

You’re wrong as the deuce
And you shouldn’t rejoice
If you’re calling him Seuss.
He pronounces it Soice[62] (or Zoice)[63]

Dr. Seuss eventually accepted the anglicized pronunciation that we are familiar with because so many pronounced it that way and because it rhymed with Mother Goose. He used Dr. because his father always wanted him to practice medicine. He did. The medicine of positivity.

When you reach my age you have heard a time or two, I want to be like her when I grow up. That is strange because first, I don't want to grow up and second, I am just figuring out who I am. I am an entrepreneur. I am having fun growing businesses from home while caring for my 90+ year old mom. Life is great!
